Horseback Carolers in Hallsville

Caroling was heard in the streets of Hallsville with an East Texas twist.

The Harrison County Silver Spurs horseback riders took it upon themselves to ride the neighborhoods of Hallsville spreading holiday cheer through song.

Though they may not be the Mormon tabernacle choir, the group delighted some surprised residents with their ride through.

Many, particularly kids, just impressed with the horses and all appreciating the effort.

For the riders, it was just a new way to enjoy the season and maybe bring a smile to someones face.

Although some didn't exactly know what to make of it, the horseback crooners hope they've spread a little cheer in their own way. The Silver Spurs plan to make the ride an annual event.
