Father's Day in Longview

By Bob Hallmark - bio | email

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -  For all they do, it was a day for dad's to get recognized Sunday in East Texas.

All over Longview, families were taking dads out for dinner. Unlike the traditional flowers and cards for moms, for dads, it's more about spending time with family. Aside from presents, many fathers said they take away a much bigger gift.

"Played a round of golf with my oldest son today they picked me up and now we're spending quality time together and couldn't get better than this," said Don Shannon of Longview.

"This is what life's about right here, spending time with the family and sharing time together," said Raymond Strong of Longview.
