TYLER, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas business suddenly closes its doors after serving the community for more than 20 years.
Doors were locked and a closing sign was posted at McKinnon Honda of Tyler. A long time employee told KLTV tough economic times forced the closing. Inventory sat inside the store inaccessible to customers stopping by.
"I don't like it at all," said Tommy Rinehart, a Honda customer. "I don't know if I can get parts around here in Tyler for Hondas. I know they've got a dealership in Marshall but that's a long way to go for some parts."
"Everybody wants to come out and go riding," said Eric Duvall, a Honda customer. "That's what they expect. Let the good times roll right. Well, I guess they rolled on, so I don't know it's kind of disappointing actually."
We tried to call the owners to ask what customers should do if they have a repair warranty or parts on order. A voice recording said McKinnon Honda of Tyler is currently closed for business.
