She walked in and told police she killed her husband

GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) - She walked into the Gladewater Police Department and told officers she had shot and killed her husband.

Melissa Dawn Fleming, 40, of Gladewater was arrested early Monday morning after authorities were dispatched to her home in the 1200 block of Culver Street. There they found Joseph Calvin Fleming, 45, dead from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Fleming was arraigned by Municipal Court Judge Carolyn Kizer, and bond was set at $250,000 for first degree Felony Murder. Fleming has been transported and booked in the Upshur County Jail.

According to Gladewater Police Chief, Farrell Alexander, the case is still being investigated.
