TYLER, TX (KLTV) - This is the last weekend for visitors to tour the 29 homes that are featured in the Tyler Area Builders Associations 56th Annual Parade of Homes. The parade continues through Sunday.
The TABA says builders participating in the Parade this year have seen an increase in attendance as potential home buyers look for a builder to help them take advantage of low interest rates and competitive prices.
"We've seen a lot of people who are ready to build and ready to buy," said Gary Bayless Design and Construction President Gary Bayless. "That is somewhat surprising with the economy, but I think a lot of people are coming off that fence post." Some builders say they are also seeing more interest in their remodeling services as homeowners choose to invest in their homes.
The parade lasts through Sunday. Hours are: Friday 6-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 2-6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. A list of ticket sale locations and home sites is available on the TABA web site www.tylerareabuilders.com
