LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -  Longview police respond to a report of a robbery at a local convenience store, involving some beer and a Honey Bun.

Around midnight, police say two men walked into the Cowboy's convenience store located in the 1700 Block of Mobberly Ave. and demanded beer.  Police say the store clerks told the men they were locking up and good not sell them any beer.  Police say the men became irate and began physically assaulting the clerks.  During the assault, police say one of the suspects forced his way inside the store and began taking beer from the cooler.  The clerks told the men they were calling police.  The men began leaving the store, and police say one of the suspects took a Honey Bun from a shelf on the way out.

Officers searched the area and located the men at Butler and Dixon Drive.  Police arrested Jermaine Lemone Garrett, 26 and charged him with robbery, a 2nd degree felony.  A juvenile fled police, but was later caught.  Police say he's also been charged with robbery and evading arrest.
