More than 5200 angels will have Christmas this year, thanks to the kindness of East Texans.
In Tyler Monday, 80 fourth grade students from Orr Elementary took a field trip to the Broadway Square Mall to spread some holiday cheer. They took angels off the Salvation Army Angel Tree and used their own money to shop for clothes and toys for the needy children.
They got involved after finding out 2000 angels remained on the tree last week. Thanks to these kids and other East Texans, every one of the angels was off of the tree by Monday night.
