TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The first big switch came when they changed the analog to digital date. On Friday, the real one finally arrives and many analog TV's are officially on their way out.

Before you throw your old set to the curb, take note of some options in East Texas. You can donate your television to Goodwill where they auction used items every Saturday morning. The Tyler Recycling Center also accepts TV's at their downtown location. Best Buy created a television recycling program where they'll take any set 32" or smaller. They charge a $10 recycling fee but give you a $10 Best Buy gift card in return.

Thursday, KLTV news will take you step by step through making the digital switch to make it as hassle free as possible.
