LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - She's been missing for more than two weeks and now her East Texas family wants answers.
Last week, we told you about the disappearance of 21-year-old, Nicole Howard of Longview. Howard was last seen May 21st and since then, no one has heard from her.
"It's been a torture for all of us," said Berdella Kelley, Howard's grandmother. "It's unusual for her not to call or talk with somebody, or be in touch with somebody in the family."
Kelley is a grandmother on a un-stoppable mission.
"I just want her to know that I won't stop looking," said Kelley. "I won't stop trying to find her and neither will her friends."
Howard is her first-born grandchild. She's a graduate of Gladewater High School who earned a Kilgore College degree in Medical Administration Support.
"She was here one day and gone the next," said Officer Kevin Brownlee with the Longview PD.
A friend of Howard's last saw her at the west Loop and McDonald Street in Longview. She was driving a friend's black 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Police say it was on Signal Hill Drive where they found the abandoned vehicle Howard was driving in a parking lot.
"So far, the investigation hasn't revealed anybody that had a problem with Nicole or her boyfriend," said Brownlee. "There wasn't an issue on-going that we are aware of that would cause her to go missing."
"Things that go through your mind when somebody's missing like that especially someone that's that close...it's terrible," said Kelley. "I go through sleepless nights."
Kelley admits her granddaughter was doing drugs and hanging with the wrong crowd.
"No she's not been miss little sunshine," said Kelley, "but she's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's granddaughter, sister, niece. We all love her and we just want to know where she is."
Kelley says until Howard is found she is praying God will protect her.
"I ask him to surround her with the angels, to keep her safe, and I have no doubt he'll do that," said Kelley.
So far, police say they haven't received any solid leads. If you have any information about the disappearance of Nicole Howard call Longview police.
