Several Alleged Drug Dealers Are Off The Streets

More than thirty suspected drug dealers are off East Texas streets tonight. A warrant sweep in Upshur and Gregg counties took place this morning.

Authorities picked up 17 alleged drug dealers in Gilmer, 5 in Upshur County, 6 in Longview, and three in Pittsburgh.

The Gilmer police along with Code, DPS narcotics and other agencies had been working undercover for nine months seeking out known drug dealers.

Police say successful operations like this one are making many east Texas communities safer.

The thirty-one people arrested are accused of dealing everything from crack to heroine to meth-amphetamine.
