TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Talk about being tested. Remember Maria Avelar? She's the single mother whose home has burned down twice now in just four months. She's also the woman who was run down by a truck just a few weeks ago.

Monday's fire has been ruled suspicious by the Tyler Fire Department, who is investigating. Maria and her kids lost all their belongings in the home.

Their home originally caught fire in February due to an electrical problem. It was almost ready to move back into when it suspiciously caught fire again Monday.

Just a few weeks ago, Maria was randomly hit by a truck, while she crossed a street in downtown Tyler. The driver was making a turn and told police he didn't see her.

We met with Maria this afternoon who remains strong though she's got a battle in front of her. See her story, and we'll tell you how you can help, tonight on KLTV at 5 p.m.
