More Schools Close due to Sick Kids

More students in East Texas are getting the rest of the week off.

Hart's Bluff ISD in Titus County is canceling classes Friday. School will start back up on Monday. In Henderson County, Murchison I.S.D. is giving their students a four day weekend. They will be closed Friday and next Monday.

Already this week, nine east texas school districts have canceled classes because of high rates of illness related absences. Four school districts announced Wednesday they are canceling classes because their students are sick with "flu-like" symptoms. Rains I.S.D. In Emory, Elkhart I.S.D. In Anderson County, Jefferson I.S.D. In Marion County, and Van in Van Zandt County announced Wednesday they are closing their doors temporarily. Pewitt, Pittsburg, and Hawkins school districts had already canceled classes for the rest of the week. Right now, all of those districts say they are resuming classes Monday.
