Tyler, TX (KLTV)--The Tyler ISD board of trustees approved a new video scoreboard system for Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.

The scoreboard will allow for video replay.

According to TISD, the current scoreboard has been in service since 1984 and has exceeded its life cycle. A district representative says replacement parts are obsolete.

The Board of Trustees will ente a contract with Olen Williams, Inc. in the amount of $657,801. Olen Williams, Inc. is the only vendor that submitted a proposal.

This amount includes performance bond, electrical upgrades, remodeling and a $20,000 contingency. Funding will come from Fund Balance with total reimbursement through advertising revenues.

The new scoreboard will be paid in full within the next ten years at no cost to taxpayers.
