Early Voting in Longview Bond Election

Early voting numbers are in for the Longview school bond election. Out of thirty-thousand registered voters, just over six hundred fifty voted early. The school bond money will be used to refinance L.I.S.D.s tax notes if it passes. Longview schools have 14-point-2 million dollars to pay in tax notes. The money was used for several projects and improvements for Longview schools. School officials say they aren't too concerned with these low early numbers because early voting generally has a low turnout. The general election will be held this Saturday from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M
