LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - An early morning foot chase ended when police captured a suspected car burglar.

Police patrolled an area of Pine Tree after receiving two reports of car burglaries. The first happened on West Sarah Avenue and the second on East Twilight. The officer who was patrolling saw a person hiding under a truck on the 400 block of Fawn Trail and stopped to investigate. The suspect took off on foot. The officer ran after him, capturing him on the 2100 block of Oak Hollow Street.

The juvenile suspect had stolen items from both car burglaries in his possession. He was booked at the Gregg County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle (Class A misdemeanor) and evading arrest (Class B misdemeanor).
