ETMC Lights a Symbol of Hope

The lights on this year's ETMC Christmas tree in Tyler serve as a symbol of hope for those awaiting kidney transplants. Tuesday, kidney recipient, Randy Scates from Nacogdoches and his sister Cindy Barrett of Ft. Worth lit the tree.

Randy received his kidney from his sister in August. The 15th annual event honored kidney transplant recipients and the medical professionals who work to make the program a success. Since 1987, more than 300 East Texans have received kidneys.
