JP sets bail for Lufkin man involved in chase at $105,000

RUSK, TX (KTRE) - A justice of the peace set bond for a Lufkin man who allegedly engaged Rusk County law enforcement in a chase at $105,000 for three different charges.

Cherokee County Justice of the Peace Teresa Phifer set bond for David Allen, of Lufkin, for $75,000 on a charge of evading arrest/detention with vehicle/previous conviction; $25,000 on a charge of DWI/second; and $5,000 for reckless driving.

Allen also faces miscellaneous traffic violations, which will be issued by the Wells Police Department.
