UPDATE: 2 of 3 officers released from hospital after crash

RUSK, TX (KLTV) - Two of the three officers sent to the hospital after a high speed chase ended in a crash have been treated and released. The remaining officer is expected to be released soon.

The chase took place on Highway 69 and traveled north, going from Wells into south Rusk. The chase reached speeds of more than 100 miles an hour. For part of the time, the suspect was even driving on the wrong side of the road. Wells, Rusk and Alto PD were involved in the chase, as well as DPS, and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

The chase ended when DPS put down spikes outside of the the city of Rusk to stop the suspect's car. Two police vehicles crashed in front of Isaac's Wrecker Service on Hwy. 69, while trying to avoid the suspect's car.

The suspect, David Lynn Allen of Lufkin, was arrested, booked in the Cherokee County jail and charged with evading arrest.
