TYLER, TX (KLTV) - My first stop was Taqueria el Lugar on Fifth Street in Tyler. Walking in it didn't take long to spot their special. It was aptly named Number 7. Smearing the tortilla with Asadero cheese I got excited. A super quesadilla and a can drink will run you five even. I chomped down. I had one down and two more to go!

I stop by Jucy's Hamburgers. It has served East Texans for 21 years. A glance at the menu is where I spotted an unlikely choice. Not a cheeseburger or a hamburger, but a grilled cheese. General manager Don Laster said people should take notice.

"They can come and get something really good and not have to spend a lot of money," he said.

Serving me at the table they added a small drink and free beans for just $4.52.

The last stop of the day was King Torta in Tyler, after an anonymous tip told me I could find Cheap Eats glory. King Torta himself whipped up two pork tacos in the back with just the right amount of fillin's. I ironically crown King Torta this Cheap Eats champion. They offered two pork tacos and a can drink for $3.50.
