Edison thrilled with draft landing spot

It was a big weekend for East Texans in the NFL Draft.

One of those, former SFA Lumberjack and San Augustine native Dominique Edison.

Edison picked up the phone Sunday evening to hear the voice of Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher.

The Titans took Edison in the sixth round with the 206th overall pick. Edison said it was frustrating, waiting all day and Getting passed over for other receivers. In the end, The east Texan was thrilled with his landing spot.

"When I got the call, I couldn't actually believe it," he said. "It was like it wasn't even real at first. I think it's a perfect fit because they don't really have a lot of veteran receivers. So I feel like I can get in there and work hard and at least contribute."

Edison is headed to Nashville this week for the Titans have minicamp starting on Thursday.
