LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - A Marine veteran of Iraq is home in Longview after two long tours in the embattled country.

Without any fanfare or ceremony, Marine Sergeant Gregory Aitch came home to his family in Longview. Aitch has served two tours in Iraq. He says the situation there has become much more stable.

In true Marine fashion, the sergeant preferred not to be made a hero, but wants to honor all the servicemen continuing their work overseas.

"We're doing better we've always done a good job we're slowly progressing, and we're still winning, still doing a good job over there," said Aitch.

He is home for three weeks before going on to his next command at Camp Pendleton, California.
