BROWNSBORO, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas teen over-corrects and puts his car in the water. It happened on Henderson County Road 314 at the Kickapoo Creek crossing Tuesday afternoon.

Crews worked to pull the 1976 El Camino from the water. The driver, 18-year-old Kyle Rose swerved to avoid oncoming traffic. Jumping the guard rail, the car came to rest in close to five feet of water.

"I just hit the guardrail and went a couple feet and just closed my eyes and let go and just went limp," said Rose. "I didn't press anything, I didn't press the gas or the brake just started praying and the Lord was with me because I'm fine right here I didn't hit any trees got out before all the water came in. I'm really lucky."

Rose plans on repairing the car. He has been driving it for only three months.
