LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Longview ISD tells us a teacher admitted to writing on students with a permanent marker, and now, after being suspended with pay, they say she was back in the classroom.

Last week, KLTV 7 obtained the picture that shows the teacher wrote "Stealing Marshmallow" on the boy's arm. School officials say the teacher, who works at Ware Elementary, expressed remorse and apologized during their investigation.

"I think the teacher has learned from this incident," said Brian Bowman with Longview ISD. "It was something that happened real quick. It was a reactionary decision very remorseful, regretted it, and I think that the teacher has learned the lesson."

District officials tell us the teacher has been reprimanded, and the incident has been noted in her personnel file.
