Henderson ISD bus driver killed in accident

HENDERSON, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas school bus driver was killed in a two vehicle accident near Dallas.

Henderson ISD officials tell us 53-year-old Fannie Kind was killed after being ejected from her truck Thursday night in Mesquite. Fannie and her husband, Willie Kind, 59, were traveling on I-20 in their 2004 Chevrolet pickup when a 2001 Honda rear ended their truck. The truck went across the center median, going airborne, and overturned.

Fannie was pronounced dead at the scene and Willie was transported to Baylor Hospital in Dallas by the Mesquite Fire Department. He is in stable condition.

The driver of the Honda was also transported to Baylor Hospital. His identity is not known at this time. His injuries are not life threatening.

Fannie had worked for the Henderson ISD for nearly 20 years.

The funeral will be held 3:00pm Saturday at the Henderson Middle School Auditorium.
