Legendary Lawman Pens Second Book

An East Texas lawman has put his experiences down on paper. Retired Texas Ranger Glenn Elliott was signing copies of his books today at Texas True.

In his twenty-six years with the Rangers, Elliott worked many famous cases including the Kilgore Kentucky Fried Chicken murders. His books chronicle his experience working with the world-famous Texas Rangers.

Elliott says the recognition of being a Ranger has led to a wealth of experiences for him.

"I shook hands with every president from Harry S Truman to George Bush because I was a Ranger," he says. "Not because I was a police officer, because I was a Texas Ranger. It's a great experience."

Elliott's first book was more biographical. The new book deals more with some of the cases he worked across the country, while serving as a Texas Ranger.
