The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced its new class earlier this week.
Wednesday night, a previous inductee was in East Texas.
Former Texas basketball coach Jody Conradt was in Tyler in support of the Texas-Exes club and their scholarship fundraiser and dinner.
The hall of famer finished her 31 year career at Texas with 900 wins. She took a moment to talk to KLTV 7 Sports about coming to East Texas.
"I have not been to this part of the state for quite some time," Conradt said. "It is always fun this time of year, because everyone is celebrating Texas Independence Day, and traditionally the Texas-Exes clubs get together this time of year. So, we kind of take turns."
" I was really happy to come here. I got to play some golf and I got to see a beautiful part of the state. So, it has been fun."
