TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Flags up and ready, volunteers from Welcome Home Soldiers and family stood by waiting, watching to surprise a soldier with quite a homecoming. While they waited, another prepared to depart. Army Medic Bryan O'Driscoll prepared to head to Iraq a task he takes in stride.

"[I] just go back to work," said Bryan O'Donnell. "[I] gotta put my game face on and go back and help my guys."

Making his way through security, O'Driscoll headed out right as cheers went up for Specialist Chase Brock's arrival. Greeted with a quick hug from his father, brock says it's east Texas is just a little different than Iraq.

"It's not hot, actually feels good outside, not so it's just clean around here."

He took time to thank those who had come to celebrate his coming home to East Texas and then headed out to spend some time with family.

Chase only has 14 days to spend time with his family and he plans on doing so by playing a little golf with his father before he has to head back to Iraq. You can catch the rest of Chase's story tonight on KLTV News at 6.
