$5,000 and 46 months in jail for drug violations

TYLER, TX - A 28-year-old Longview man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug violations.

D'Angelo Laserre Thomas pleaded guilty in October of 2008, to possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison. Thomas also agreed to the forfeiture of $5,000.00.

According to information presented in court, since July 2006, Thomas had been distributing crack cocaine to others in and around the Longview area. A federal indictment was returned on September of 2008, charging Thomas and four others with federal crimes.

John Richard Harmon, Jr. was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison back in February, and Devetric Tramel Johnson was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison also in February. The remaining defendants await sentencing.
