Gift of Love: Adoption Success Story

You'll remember seven year old Jolene profiled last August. She's a charming active little girl, in desperate need of a positive role model in her life. After years of severe neglect, Jolene was eager for one-on-one attention and talked often about finding the gift of love. "I want a Mommy and Daddy that will love me more than anything in the whole wide world," said Jolene in a soft voice. We're happy to tell you, Jolene, now eight years old, has that Mommy and Daddy she's always dreamed of.

And we introduced you to another outgoing young lady last June; seven year old Christian, a happy girl. She's active, and enjoys spending time with her friends. Christian explains, "I like to go swimming with my friends, and go ride my bike outside and go play." But the most important thing to Christian was having a Mom and Dad. She said, "I want to live with a family who takes care of me." Christain now has that family to take of her and help her grow, giving her the unconditional love she's never had.

And you met another sweet face in March of this year. At that time, Melody had just turned one year old. This happy and friendly little girl has brought much joy to her Foster Family. "I grab her and hug her and coo, and I said baby when you leave me I'm going to cry. I am, I know I am. She's just great, just great, she's a great baby," says Mae Hamilton, Melody's Foster Mom. Well, that day finally came. Mae is shedding tears of joy now that Melody has found her forever family. Mae adds one more thing, "Just love my baby, love her, just love her."
