TYLER, TX - A woman's quick thinking and good directions landed two suspected auto burglars in jail.
At 2:40 Wednesday morning, a woman saw two young men dressed in black loooking into her vehicle parked on Amy Lane. She quickly called police, gave them a description of the vehicle and told them which way the suspects went.
When officers arrived in the neighborhood, they spotted the vehicle leaving. After further investigation, found numerous stolen items in the suspects' car.
Stephan Jacob Moore, 17, of Tyler and Nicholas Rosanto Wooten, 17, of Tyler were arrested.
Investigators have also found numerous items worth thousands of dollars in the suspects' apartment that had been stolen from automobiles, mostly in south east Tyler. Investigators have linked the suspects to over 10 auto burglaries at this time.
Auto burglaries are on the rise with 126 in January, 93 in February and 150 for March to date.
