SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - The two dogs, that Smith County authorities say attacked a woman have been captured. The attack happened around 3:30 this afternoon on County Road 1141, just outside Tyler.

Authorities say the woman had already been taken to the hospital when they got there.      Deputies say the woman's husband found her and called 911. Her condition is unknown tonight, but deputies say she was severely bitten.

Animal control eventually found the dogs, two pit bulls and a boxer mix, in a fenced yard next door to where the attack happened. Neighbors tell us it was only a matter of time before someone was seriously hurt by the dogs.

"We warned them about keeping them up," said Larry Goodwin, a neighbor. "There is a fence in between our yards, but the dogs can go around, or under the fence. They've hit the fence by me out there. I've got some plants by the fence, they've actually come in and hit the fence, and have actually hit the chain link fence into my forehead."

Goodwin also told us the same dogs killed one of his dogs last month. The sheriff's department says the owner of the dogs did surrender them. Authorities say the owners could face criminal charges.
