The operation of a possible Meth-lab in a quiet Longview apartment section has fire investigators looking for suspects. It was Monday night, fire tore through two apartments at Hunters Crossing on Bill Owens parkway. Residents just had seconds to get out.
Though quickly contained, more than 20 people were forced out of their homes from smoke and fire damage. Two apartments were destroyed and two others damaged.
The A.T.F. and fire marshals were called in, as a meth operation is suspected of being run from a downstairs apartment. Something went wrong and a fire broke out downstairs, spreading to and upstairs apartment, costing that family everything they owned.
Some residents were back Wednesday trying to salvage anything they could. The investigation is ongoing.
