Kenny Ferro's Special Education students at Kilgore High School may not have the dexterity of the athletes he coached at LSU, Tulane, or the Kilgore High School Football State Championship Team, but they are still winners in his book.

Ferro began teaching Special Education in 1970, the same year he started coaching. In spite of success in College and High School athletics, Ferro has always had a special place in his heart for his physically and mentally challenged young students.
