If you suffer from brittle bones, you're more likely to break a bone in your back than any other part of your body.
When the vertebra in your back are weak, They can collapse, And that's painful.
But doctors can now eliminate that pain with a surgery called kyphoplasty. The surgery makes a small cut in your back to put a probe in between the crushed vertebrae. Doctors then put a balloon in the probe and with air raise the crushed vertebra. The the doctors put a cement like substance in the open area.
Doctor Jon Ledlie from ETMC says the procedure can totally eliminate pain. It can also prevent someone with brittle bones from hunching over.
