Jason Payne (Wood County Sheriff's Office)An east Texas man is now behind bars after being arrested by Wood County authorities in connection to a double homicide.
38 year old Jason Payne of Quitman is now charged with the December 11th murders of his 35 year old wife, Nichole Payne, and 16 year old stepson, Austin Taylor Wages.
Back in December, we reported Payne dialed 9-1-1 after discovering the bodies inside their Quitman home. The victims were found shot, in separate rooms of the home.
At the time of the shooting, Payne was not considered a suspect.
Payne is in the Wood County Jail on bonds totalling $200,000.
