An armed bank robbery turned a quiet afternoon into a life-or-death situation in one small town bank this afternoon.
At 1:15pm this afternoon, a white male entered Capital One Bank on I-20 near Hideaway holding a small, black handgun. The man was described to be 5'11 to 6 ft. tall, with a heavy set build, wearing a light colored zippered hoodie, a fake beard, and a toboggan.
After demanding and getting an undisclosed amount of money from the four tellers in the bank, he got into a large body four door sedan and drove away.
No one at the bank was injured, and the tellers cooperated completely with the robber.
Tyler FBI and Lindale Police Department will be working together on this case. If you have any information on the case, please call 903-592-4301.
