Arthur OglesbyWinnsboro police get a tip a semi-truck caring illegal drugs was headed into their city, and they were ready for it.
Friday, police say they stopped the truck traveling on Highway 11 West in Winnsboro and found both methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside. It was located in a diaper bag where baby supplies were.
"In the bag there were a couple of baby bottles," said Winnsboro Police Chief James Miller. "I believe there was some baby formula in there and some baby clothing, and that's a bad situation to put the children in." Police arrested the driver Arthur Oglesby, 31 of Gilmer and charged him with possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with child endangerment because police say his three young children were in the truck with him.
