A former Jacksonville police officer accused of sexual assualt while on duty, appeared in Federal court in Tyler this morning. Larry Pugh, 33, waived his right to a "pre-trial release status" hearing. The procedure took place because of Pugh's arrest Tuesday for an incident that officials say took place in Cherokee County. Authorities would not go into details. Pugh has been charged with "aggravated assault with a deadly weapon" and "retaliation".
Pugh already faces five federal charges of sexual assault while on duty. Those alleged assualts happened last year. Pugh is set to stay in jail until his trial in November.
