Caught on tape! Drunk driver crashes into Tyler theatre multiple times

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas man repeatedly crashed his vehicle into Time Square Cinema early Sunday morning, and it was caught on tape.

Tyler police arrived at the scene at 5 a.m. and arrested 18-year-old, Samuel Stevens of Big Sandy. Police say Stevens was intoxicated, and surveillance from the theatre shows Stevens ramming his car into the theatre's box office more than a dozen times.

Police say Stevens was booked into Smith County Jail on misdemeanor charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Disorderly Conduct. He was also booked in on a felony charge of Criminal Mischief.

Damage toTimes Square Cinema is estimated at $20,000, but the theatre has patched up the hole and is open for business.
