Associated Press - November 25, 2009 11:35 AM ET

Line: Arkansas State by 7 1/2.

Series Record: Arkansas State leads 10-8.

Last Meeting: 2008, Arkansas State 33-28.

What's at Stake

Both teams have endured their share of disappointing losses. North Texas lost its fifth game by a touchdown of less last weekend when it fell to Army 17-13. Arkansas State, which was picked to finish second in the Sun Belt, has four losses by six points or less. The Red Wolves will be without starting quarterback Corey Leonard (knee surgery) for their final two games.

Key Matchup

North Texas' defense vs. Arkansas State's offense. North Texas had 1 of its better games of the season against Army, holding the Black Knights to 287 yards. Arkansas State's offense has sputtered in recent weeks. The Red Wolves are averaging less than 16 points during their 4-game losing streak.

Players to watch

North Texas: QB Riley Dodge has struggled protecting the ball. The redshirt freshman has seven interceptions the last three games and he lost a fumble against Army.

Arkansas State: QB Ryan Aplin will fill in for Leonard. He threw for 147 yards in Arkansas State's 38-14 loss to Middle Tennessee.
