The Woodlands wins boys Class 5A crown

ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) - The Woodlands won its fourth straight boys Class 5A cross country team championship and record 16th state boys cross country title at the University Interscholastic League cross country championships.

The Woodlands was the only boys team to repeat Saturday as titlist while girls teams from Humble Kingwood Park, Decatur and Spearman each repeated as champions. Kingwood Park won the Class 3A title two years ago and won Class 4A last year.

Other team champions were: Boerne Champion, Argyle, East Bernard, Gruver and Plains.

Sarah Andres of The Woodlands was the only repeat champion in the ten classes. Andrews ran the two mile course in 10:45.09.
