What's at Stake

Rice was close to finally notching a victory last week against SMU. The Owls, 1 of 4 winless teams remaining, let a 13-point lead slip away in a 31-28 loss to the Mustangs. Tulane is done with its home schedule and plays the final three on the road. The Green Wave snapped a 4-game losing streak and won for the first time in Conference USA last week, beating UTEP 45-38 in overtime.

Key Matchup

Tulane WR Jeremy Williams vs. Rice's pass defense. Williams had 10 receptions for 139 yards and returned a kickoff for a touchdown against UTEP. Opposing quarterbacks have thrown for 21 touchdowns and completed 66 percent of their passes against the Owls' defense.

Players to Watch

Tulane: S Chinonso Echebelem leads the Green Wave with 86 tackles. The senior has made at least 10 stops in four games this season.

Rice: QB Nick Fanuzzi passed for a career-high 250 yards and three touchdowns against SMU. He has completed 63 percent of his attempts over the past four games.
