LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - One of the Texas Congressman who voted against health care reform was back in East Texas Monday. We asked U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert to share his thoughts about the health care bill that passed in the House. As you can imagine, he was not very pleased.

"When you have a 2,000-page bill that gets sprung on people, even though you give 72 hours, and you don't get a chance to read the line in there that said, 'This section is regarding funding made available for abortions,' you know, federal funding...this is a bad bill and it was," said Gohmert. "We had 39 Democrats that agreed with us. This is not something good for America."

Congressman Gohmert Monday spoke to students at East Texas Charter School in Longview. The oCngressman urged students to read the constitution and talked about the importance our country's heritage.
