Tyler, TX - As part of its ongoing commitment to providing state-of-the-art patient care, Texas Spine & Joint Hospital is proud to announce the addition of the GE Discovery 750 3T MRI system to their imaging services. The 3T MRI is the most advanced MRI available and will allow physician's to see clearer and smaller structures helping them to make a more confident diagnosis for their patients. "We are excited to have this technology available to us in Tyler," said Thomas Grahm MD, neurosurgeon with Tyler Neurosurgical Associates. "The things that we will be able to see and do for our patients using this technology are beyond anything we have had access to in the past," he added.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a diagnostic test used to visualize the structure and function of the body, relying on a powerful magnetic field to produce detailed images of the body. "We have been amazed at the images we have been able to produce from our first patients," said Jeremy Hall, radiology manager for Texas Spine & Joint Hospital. "All of our technologists have received special training on the system and we are seeing incredible results. The scans are faster so our patients are more comfortable and they receive a test that is second to none," Hall added.
