TYLER, TX (KLTV) - It's a celebration bringing generations together in Tyler. Family members surrounded Mamie Louise Ethridge as she turned 100 years old. Her family of 37 - including 11 great-great grandchildren - are hosting a luau for her on Saturday.
They said Mamie is still in good health and still plays cards every Sunday.
"Well, we're enjoying her life, I'll tell you," said Lucille Sunny Ethridge, Mamie's daughter-in-law. "I can remember many many good times with her. And so today is especially a blessing for her life."
"Our expectations are for her to stay healthy and that the Lord will continue to bless her with good health," said Charles Ethridge, Mamie's oldest son.
Happy birthday, Mamie!
