Tyler narcotics investigation leads to arrests

TYLER, TX - A three month narcotics investigation conducted by the Tyler Police Narcotics Unit has led to seven arrests, seizure of powder cocaine, marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash and property seized. The target of the investigation was Eric Repone Sanford and his network of family. Sanford was under investigation for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Money Laundering.

On October 15, 2009, investigators executed four search warrants at 2308 McCullar Street, 212 N. Ross, 2313 Vernon and 3393 Blanco Street in Tyler. Investigators recovered a quarter pound of powder cocaine from 212 N. Ross and one pound of marijuana from 2308 McCullar. Investigators also seized five vehicles, numerous electronic items including six flat screen TV's and approximately $10,000.00 dollars. All of the above items were believed to be related from drug transactions.

Investigators arrested the following suspects involved in this investigation:

Eric Repone "Pone" Sanford, B/M, age 35, address 2308 McCullar, Tyler.
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, bond $1.5million
Manufacture or Delivery Of Controlled Substance, bond $500,000.00
Possession of Marijuana > 4oz <= 5LBS. Drug Free Zone, bond $150,000.00
Money Laundering>=$1500 <$20K, bond $50,000.00
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Involving Family, bond $5,000.00

Latoya Tomica Sanford (wife), B/F, age 35, address 2308 McCullar, Tyler.
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, bond $500,000.00
Possession of Marijuana > 4oz <= 5LBS. Drug Free Zone, bond $35,000.00
Money Laundering>=$1500 <$20K, bond $25,000.00


Ethel Mae McGee (mother of Sanford), B/F, age 58, address 2313 Vernon, Tyler.
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, bond $500,000.00
Possession of Marijuana < 2oz, bond $5,000.00

Edna Fern Walton (Aunt to Sanford), B/F, age 55, address 212 N. Ross, Tyler.
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, bond $500,000.00
Manufacture or Delivery Of Controlled Substance 1>=4G<200G, bond $150,000.00
Parole Violation, no bond.

Teresa Ann Mallory (friend), B/F, age 39, Transient.
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, bond $500,000.00
Manufacture or Delivery Of Controlled Substance 1>=4G<200G, bond $150,000.00
Possession Of Controlled Substance PG 1 >=1G<4G, bond $50,000.00
Possession of Marijuana < 2oz, bond $1,000.00

Samuel David Miles (friend),W/M, age 63, address 2313 Vernon, Tyler.
Possession of Marijuana < 2oz, bond $5,000.00
Theft of Property warrant, no bond

Stevy Lee Mcgee (step-dad), B/M, age 52, address 12048 Fm 14, Tyler.
Possession of Marijuana < 2oz, bond $5,000.00

The investigation continues and future arrests may result from this case.
