OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The coach of one of Oklahoma's most prominent high school football programs has been suspended for helping a student find housing with a booster so he could play for the school.

Jenks High School coach Allan Trimble was suspended for the season on Friday. An investigation by the suburban Tulsa school district found that he helped prepare a lease for Oklahoma recruit Jarrett Lake to rent a room in the home of longtime football booster and district resident Clyde Griffith.

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association ruled in August that Lake didn't meet residency requirements and forced the team to forfeit nine wins. Lake, a senior, was ruled ineligible for a year.

Jenks has won nine of the last 13 titles in Oklahoma's highest class.
