HENDERSON, TX (KLTV) - On Friday at Henderson High School it was pure chaos, all caused by a bomb threat. But, for police, the third time was the charm.

"We had been checking on the previous bomb threats digging up evidence like phone calls [and] talking to people," said Lt. Craig Sweeney, with Longview police. "This came in this morning and it accelerated our efforts."

Similar to Friday, Henderson High School students were evacuated from the building Tuesday after the school received yet another bomb threat.

"The caller stated there would be an alarm set to go off," said Sweeney. "For the third time you got the teachers, you know. They have their lesson plans and a schedule to go by. Now, they have to try and make it up."

Police say this time they were able to trace the call, and witnesses with information came forward with tips.

"I think people got tired enough," said Sweeney. "They're involved in this and they're inconvenienced [so] they will generally speak to us about it."

And, speaking up is why a warrant got written up. Court officials confirmed that Lorenzo Luna of Henderson was arrested on a third degree felony charge of Terroristic Threat, for allegedly calling in the bomb threats.

"We did arrest him without incident," said Sweeney. "We got him out of the house. Nothing physically in the arrest. It just went on down nice and smooth nobody got hurt."

Police tell us Luna is a former Henderson High School student but aren't releasing a motive at this time. Now, they're just relieved the bomb threat madness has come to an end at Henderson High.

"Hopefully, they can say, 'Hey, we got this guy,'" said Sweeney. "They can feel a little more relax. The big thing is, we'll get you, maybe not the first time but sooner or later we will."

Police have interviewed Luna but are not releasing whether or not he admitted to setting the bomb threats. He is in Rusk County Jail awaiting arraignment Wednesday morning.
