Tyler, Texas (KLTV) - Alaina Johnson has been there before, now she wants to seal the deal.

"It is fun, I still get a little nervous, but really, who wouldn't?"

Johnson is headed to the USA Gymnastics National Championships this weekend in Dallas.

It will be the 5th time that Johnson has competed.

"Being there a few times, I kind of know what to expect," said Johnson, "so I don't think it will be as much as a shock as it was when I first went."

Last year, Johnson finished in the top 12, and was a member of the United States National Team, but did not make the top six that traveled to the Olympics.

"I am right where I want to be, I want to be able to take that next step and be able to represent both Tyler and the US."

To do so, Johnson will need to finish in the top 10, or be selected by one of the remaining eight at large bids.

And nerves? None.

"I get a little nervous the day of, but really, I can keep it pretty calm, it is more adrenaline than it is nerves."
