150,000 gallons of splish-splashing fun, all under one roof, and it's right here in Texas.
The Water Park at the Villages Resort is tucked away on Lake Palestine, right off 2661 in Smith County.
It opened earlier this year, and word is spreading fast.
KLTV 7's Layron Livingston took the plunge.
"It's fun.....and you can get really really wet," says Brittany Christopher.
Slipping and sliding are not just child's play at the Water Park at the Villages. Spokesperson Kathy Thomas says there's something for everyone.
"It is fifteen minutes from Tyler and it is a full day of fun. Grandparents can get in the action, or just sit back and relax and watch the kids have a good time."
The Park opened in January, offering 25,000 square feet of fun, food and flippers - inside, and sometimes out.
"They retract the roof, and you can enjoy the fresh air, and you're not fully exposed to the sun."
Lifeguards are always on duty, keeping watch over 4 water slides, a wave pool, and for some nothing beats just floating the lazy river.
"Oh, he loves it...he'd stay here all day...we have to make him go eat," said Sharraine Williams.
And of course, what kid wouldn't enjoy being showered by a thousand gallons of water, every 5 minutes?
"It's cool when that bucket falls down and soaks everyone," said Brittany.
Some say the blessings don't end at this wet and wild water park.
"With gas being the way it is, it's nice to have something that's local. We saved a lot of money coming here," said Amy Cooksy. "It's very kid safe, kid friendly."
"You can't get lost in this place, and you can't lose your little brother or sister when you come here," Brittany told us.
One thing is for sure - you can certainly get lost in the fun.
The Water Park is located at The Villages Resort, but is open year round to the public.
